Welcome to the Annunciation Church
Deus Providebit, God Provides
Yesterday afternoon, on June 1, Governor John Bel Edwards announced that the state of Louisiana will be entering Phase 2 of the National Plan for Covid19 reintegration on this Friday, June 5th. This is great news! Churches are now being allowed to host up to 50% of their normal seating occupancy. This will affect Annunciation Catholic Church in the following ways:

Original Letter from Fr. Bru:
Dear Annunciation Parishioners,
Please take the time to read the following closely and in its entirety.
Last week, Governor John Bel Edwards extended the stay-at-home mandate until at least May 15th. However, he also stated that, since places of worship are essential, churches are allowed to hold services with no more than 10 people present. Archbishop Aymond has now informed us that public Masses may be celebrated in churches, as long as the limit of 10 people is observed.
I’m excited finally to announce that we will begin to open the daily Masses that are offered in church to small groups of parishioners, effective Tuesday, May 5th. Thanks be to God that Holy Mass and Holy Communion will finally be available to many of you!
Please keep in mind that the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days is still dispensed - no one is required to attend Sunday Mass. You should NOT come to church if you are feeling sick, if you have pre-existing conditions, if you have been exposed to Coronavirus, or if you have a sick family member at home. If you are in doubt, stay home to keep yourself and others safe and healthy!
At this time, no more than 10 people will be permitted to attend each Mass. There will be a parishioner present at each Mass to ensure that the 10-person rule is observed. Those who wish to attend a Mass, must sign-up ahead of time. You can sign-up to attend Mass by using the link above or by calling the parish office if you need help with the online Mass attendance sign-up: 985-732-4280
Parishioners will not be permitted to sign-up for more than one Mass per week in order to allow as many different people as possible to attend.
We ask all who attend Mass to observe the following:
I realize these requests may seem burdensome, but we are putting them in place for the sake of the health and welfare of all who visit the church. Therefore, observing these practices is an act of charity.
If for whatever reason, you are prohibited from attending Mass in this manner, please do not hesitate to notify the parish office. I will come to your home to bring you the Blessed Sacrament at your request.
Please continue to pray that the number of people permitted to gather in our churches will be increased as much and as soon as possible!
-Fr. Bru
